Design
Matteo Thun designed the Residences edel:weiss at Katschberg according to his manifesto for building in the Alps: a warm design using wood and sustainable materials to create a building that is integrated into its natural surroundings. The two apartment towers were designed to resemble the shape of fir cones. The spectacular facade of the edel:weiss towers features a refined design: The outer shell of each building is a wooden structure in a vertical diamond-shaped pattern. This serves as the boundary between the interior and exterior of the buildings and provides protection. At the same time, it connects the buildings to their natural surroundings. Behind this shell is the second layer of construction, comprising ring-like rows of spacious balconies that run all the way around the buildings, making edel:weiss a very special place to live. The final, inner layer is the climatic envelope for the apartments. Large glass fronts let in plenty of light and afford a breathtaking view of the bold mountain panorama from each and every edel:weiss apartment.
The apartments are ready for use when handed over and feature basic finishings, including flooring, doors, wet areas, a kitchenette and all electrical and technical installations. Owners also have the option of choosing between two exclusive furnishing schemes designed by Matteo Thun:
- modern lifestyle design, the modern and stylish option, and
- alpine lifestyle design, the classic, traditional option.
Of course, you can also furnish your apartment to suit your own tastes and wishes. On request, our interior designers will be happy to provide you with advice.
