Because of the spectacular natural backdrop, the Burgarena near Villach is a unique venue for concerts, cabaret and lectures. It began in 1980 on a fairly small scale, but now it hosts performances by stars such as Placido Domingo, José Carreras, Agnes Baltsa and Montserrat Caballé. SALAMANCA FESTIVAL in Spittal/Drau
Medieval festival in the historic Old Town with travelling musicians, jugglers, fire-eaters and street jesters. The same sort of food and drink served as in the days of those medieval princes and the counts.
